Whitelaw Hydraulics, representing Settima in Australia, has released the Settima range of screw and helical rotor pumps.
The screw pump operation is positive displacement rotary pump with axial flow design. There are only three moving parts. The power rotor is the only driven part that extends outside the case.
The idler screws act as sealing parts and are turned hydraulically by the fluid being pumped. The only rolling action between the drive screw and the idler screws eliminates noise and vibration.
The Settima pumps run without pulsation and noise is kept at a minimum.
Operating in a variety of fluids and applications, the pumps flow from 8 - 3,200 lt/min with viscosity from 4 — 20,000 cst, fluid temperature from — 20o to + 180oc, and pressures to 80 bar.
The pumps are designed for lube services (diesel engines, turbines, compressors, gears and gear boxes); oil seal services (compressors and generators); power hydraulics (presses, machine tools, rolling mill, injection moulding machines, elevators, variable pitch propellers, hydraulic winches).
Settima’s pumps are also used in various and special applications for industrial and marine uses.
