VANTON Pump & Equipment has released the SUMP-GARD SGK-2700 thermoplastic centrifugal pump for handling flows to 4500l/min at heads to 60m.
According to Vanton Pump & Equipment, all wetted components are moulded of solid polypropylene, PVDF or CPVC, eliminating chemical attack associated with pumping process fluids, plant effluents and industrial/municipal water and waste streams, while minimising abrasion.
The chemically inert wetted surfaces means the SGK-2700 pumps can also handle reagent grade chemicals, high purity water and other fluids which must remain contamination free.
The alloy shaft is isolated from fluid contact by a thick-sectioned thermoplastic sleeve. It transfers torque from a 93kW motor and can employ a balanced 356mm diameter impeller.
Vanton Pump & Equipment claims the thermoplastic pumps weigh significantly less than pumps of equivalent capacity constructed of stainless steel, Hastelloy, Monel or other metal alloys, facilitating installation and ease of maintenance.
