Two multi-gas monitors

HONEYWELL unveiled two new gas monitors on Stand 1185 during the 2010 Queensland Mining and Engineering exhibition, from 27 to 29 July 2010.

Each unit can detect four gas hazards in numerous situations, including confined space entry. These include hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide, oxygen and LEL combustibles.

The first device, the GasAlertQuattro, displays real-time gas concentration readings. It has audible, visual and vibrating alarms to alert users to unsafe conditions. It also has downloadable data logging for exposure reporting.

The product has a rechargeable battery pack or an alkaline pack. It can verify normal operation, including bump test and calibration compliance.

The other instrument is the compact multi-sensor confined space gas detector, the GasAlertMicroClip.

The 160g monitor has a rugged, fully immersible water-resistant housing with built-in concussion-proof boot. The unit also has an extra-loud audible alarm and flashing LED light bars as well as a built-in vibrating alarm.
