EMONA Instruments has released a training video titled ‘Test sockets in Seconds’, documenting the use of its InstalTest Combo multi-function electrical installation tester.
The training module shows electrical contractors how to test sockets quickly without cumbersono trailing leads, by using the Instaltest Combo equipment.
The socket test involves earth continuity, polarity and correct connections tests, utilising the InstalTest Combo’s 5ohm and 10ohm resistor box connected at the switchboard.
According to Emona Instruments, the InstalTest Combo simplifies socket compliance testing by reducing the number of tests required from four to a single push button, with a pass/fail indication.
The tool features functions including voltage, frequency, phase sequence, earth resistance, equipotential bonding, insulation resistance, RCD trip time and trip current and fault loop/line impedance/PSC. It also has the Socket Outlet Test, a unique test not found on any other multifunction tester on the market.
