ASN, distributed by Automated Control Engineering, has released the PCFP25 series of slimline magnetostrictive sensors, complementing its POSICHRON range.
The non-contact linear position sensors are designed for harsh applications with limited space. They have a profile of 8mm by 28mm to fit into previously inaccessible areas.
According to the manufacturer, magnetostrictive sensing technology is highly resistant to shocks and vibration. The compact profile allows two sensing units to be mounted together vertically or horizontally to provide two totally independent redundant outputs.
The sensor series offers a range of absolute analogue outputs of 0 to 10VDC and 4 to 20mA as well as CAN-bus versions and can be supplied in stroke lengths from 100mm to 5500mm in increments of 10mm.
