SIEMENS Industry Automation Division has developed the Sitrans FUT1010 ultrasonic flowmeter for the hydrocarbon industry.
According to Siemens, the Sitrans FUT1010 flowmeter features the nearly maintenance-free TransLoc mounting system, allowing the transducers to be mounted on the outside of the pipe, without having to contact the medium.
Seimens claims this approach allows the externally-mounted transducers to be calibrated for higher accuracy, and can also help prevent clogging of the flowmeters’ cavities by high paraffin liquids.
The Sitrans FUT1010 flowmeters utilise WideBeam ultrasonic time flow technology. They may be calibrated to various specifications.
Sitrans FUT1010 is available in two versions: one for gas and one for liquids measuring viscosities up to 2800 centistokes. It is suited for up-, mid- and downstream measurement tasks, such as check metering, process control and underground storage surveillance.
