SICK unveiled the RFH620 RFID system for intralogistics, which features compact housing for the read/write unit, integrated antenna, high transmission rates in the 13.56 MHz frequency range, and openness for differing fieldbus environments and IT structures.
The RFH620 system reads and programs transponders that comply with the ISO/IEC-15693 standard.
It is also able to track objects in internal and closed circulatory systems as a result of its high transmission rate, which is the result of high-frequency technology (HF), ranges of up to 16 centimetres, and rapid signal and data processing, according to the company.
The parameterisation, operation, and communication functions of the RFH620 are implemented with the help of SOPAS-ET software, which allows users to integrate auto-ID devices from SICK.
A 15-pin cable with D Sub HD plug is available, or, for Ethernet connection versions, a combination of M12 socket for the Ethernet interface and M12 plug for power supply, triggering, host and auxiliary interfaces, and CAN-Bus.
The RFH620 also offers the possibility of remote maintenance via the RDT400 Remote Diagnostic Tool from SICK.
RFH620 components can be monitored and controlled both locally on the particular device as well as centrally from a control computer with the help of the graphic visualisation.
