Quatech, represented in Australia by Interworld Electronics, released its Airborne Enterprise Class Wireless Ethernet Modules.
The Device Server and Bridge Modules provide WPA2-enterprise class Extensible Authentication Protocols (EAP) with support for authentication certificates.
The modules, which provide Wireless Serial Device Server or Ethernet-to-Wireless Bridge functionality, are designed for transmitting information from barcode readers, documents to a printer, security clearance through a security pin pad, and information through RFID readers.
The Wireless Bridge Module features Port filtering (HTTP, FTP, Telnet), 802.11b/g NAT3 Ethernet Gateway, and DHCP or Fixed IP on wired interface.
The Airborne Wireless Device Server Module manages all authentication processes without requiring interaction from the host.
