PILZ Safe Automation has released the PITmode operating mode selector switch, which allows operating mode selection and machine access authorisation control.
According to Pilz Safe Automation, the operating mode selector switch has been developed for use in plant and machinery with a range of control sequences and operating modes.
PITmode enables users to switch between defined operating modes. Individual access authorisations can be assigned for each operator via an RFID-base key.
The evaluation device identifies and evaluates the selected operating mode, in order to avoid accidents.
The PITmode enters the operating mode when the user inserts a transponder key and presses the pushbutton defined for the relevant operating mode. For security, each key is individually coded.
