NX PLM CAD/CAM software now supports Mac OS X

PLMA says the Siemens PLM NX CAD/CAM software is now available with native support for Mac OS X on 64-bit Intel-based Macs.

According to PLMA, the new operating system support means customers using Apple’s computers will be able to leverage the capabilities of it’s the Siemens PLM NX CAD/CAM applications.

Siemens PLM says its technology is used to design and manufacture products globally. It has attributed NX’s popularity to its support of a wide range of operating environments, including Windows, UNIX, Linux, and now, Mac OS X.

The new version of NX includes the CAD and CAM functionality, as well as support for the Teamcenter platform through rich client capabilities embedded in NX and the thin client based on Apple’s Safari web browser.
