Zebra has announced its P4T/RP4T mobile printer, which is capable of printing in thermal transfer mode.

Represented by Peacock Bros. in Australia, Zebra’s printer enables mobile users to print high-quality 50 mm- to 102 mm-wide labels, tags, or other documents able to withstand harsh environments.

It also offers the advantages of thermal transfer image durability and optional RFID encoding and still provides advanced wireless connectivity options for the workplace.

Capable of handling a range of thermal transfer ribbon and materials, the P4T/RP4T mobile thermal transfer printer offers archival longevity ranging from 18 months to up to 10 years in outdoor applications.

With its order-now-or-later RFID option, the P4T/RP4T mobile thermal transfer printer is ideal for point-of-application UHF EPC Gen 2 smart labeling for compliance or business-improvement applications.

The Zebra P4T/RP4T thermal transfer printer serves the transportation, logistics, manufacturing, mobile workforce, healthcare, and government and government industries.

In addition to being powered by a 32-bit processor, the printer includes a USB 2.0 port and wireless LAN (802b/g) connectivity. Additional features include an LCD display with low-level illumination for low-light conditions, open access design for easy ribbon and label loading, scalable fonts, and smart battery monitoring.

Zebra’s printer is water and dust resistant, tolerant to multiple drops up to 1.5 metres to concrete, and includes mount kits for vehicles and forklifts, an in-vehicle charger, and soft carry case.
