MOTOROLA has released the MC3100 series of mobile computers for stock management, inventory control and asset management.
The company claims the computers are designed for key-based and touch-screen applications, with data capture options and MAX motion sensors, as well as quick access to critical information.
The range includes three keypads and three distinct form factors, which the manufacturer says can be mixed and matched to best meet application demands.
Each unit has a Marvell XScale PXA320 624MHz processor, and can run either Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 or Windows Embedded CE 6.0 Pro.
Accessories include the Symbol SE950 1D laser scanner which is capable of capturing damaged and poor quality bar codes, and the SE4500 1D/2D imager for the capture of bar codes, direct part marks, still images and documents.
Each computer has an integrated UHF RFID tag, which the manufacturer says allows companies to track the movement and location of the units so as to maintain a real-time inventory of assets.
