TERALBA Industries has introduced the Coilflo miniature style heat exchangers for heating, sterilising and cooling of fluid streams and pumpable products.
According to the company, the Australian designed and manufactured unit is suited for processing low flows and sample batches. It has a cylindrical profile, said to promote a highly turbulent flow to maximise heat transfer.
The manufacturer claims the device retains the Heat Transfer Coefficients of the Dimple Heat Exchangers, but in a compact, self-draining configuration.
The device has applications across the food, dairy, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, HVAC and brewing industries. It can be constructed using duplex stainless steel, titanium and with an internally mirror-finished tube for heating and/or cooling high purity products.
