LAWSON Software has launched version 10.1 of its M3 Enterprise Management System, with over 100 enhancements and more than 600 functional changes.
According to Lawson Software, the M3 10.1 includes industry-specific features and enhancements focusing on the food, manufacturing, distribution and equipment service sectors.
Lawson Software claims enhancements include the new Smart Office functionality, said to help users create a more effective and efficient user environment on their desktop. Enterprise Search will provide users with Internet-like search access to their Lawson and non-Lawson data.
The M3 Enterprise Management System also includes enhanced package management functionality, and an upgraded M3 Demand Planner for helping companies avoid excess production or stock-outs.
Comprehensive catch weight handling functionality will also help improve supply chain efficiency specifically for food and beverage companies.
