ICP Electronics has released the PICOe-GM45A half-size 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo processor platform for industrial computing.
According to ICP Electronics, the PICOe-GM45 half-size CPU card provides simultaneous support for both PCI Express and PCI communication buses.
The 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo processor is integrated with the Intel GM45 graphics and memory controller hub (GMCH) through a front side bus with a maximum speed of 1066MHz.
The PICOe-GM45A supports two 800MHz 2.0GB dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM DIMM, and VGA displays, 18-bit or 24-bit dual-channel LVDS displays and HDTV-out in single or dual-display format.
Other features on the CPU card include an Intel ICH9M input/output controller hub, four 3GB/s SATA drives, and two PCIe gigabit Ethernet controllers. The board also has two RS-232 serial port connectors and supports seven high-speed USB 2.0 devices.
ICP Electronics claims the PICOe-GM45A is suited for high I/O throughput industrial computing applications where high-performance, flexible expansion options, low power and a smaller footprint are required.
