ADVANTECH has released the UNO-2173A and UNO-2173AF fanless box PCs based on the Intel Atom processor.
The units are equipped with Atom 1.6GHz CPUs, Gigabit Ethernet ports, and a Mini-PCIe socket for WLAN and 3G connectivity. They support Mobile Linux and are also compatible with Windows 7.
According to the manufacturer, the machines include IP40 anti-dust protection and have an operating temperature of -20 to 70°C.
The company claims the fanless PCs use less energy, with power saving features such as increased DC/DC power conversion efficiency and reduced standby power consumption, as well as various operating efficiency modes like off, sleep and idle.
The UNO-2173A is said to be compact, with single-side I/O for space-limited applications while UNO-2173AF adds multi-media functions. Both devices are suitable for manufacturing executing systems, in-vehicle management, industrial thin client applications and facility automation.
