ExoFit XP Flotation Harness includes automatic PFD

CAPITAL Safety Australia has released the ExoFit XP Flotation safety harness with in-built personal flotation device.

According to Capital Safety, the DBI-SALA harness is suited for workers who are exposed to the risks of height in a marine environment.

The design incorporates an AS/NSZ1891.1 certified fall arrest harness and a personal flotation device within the one unit, providing both fall protection and buoyancy control.

Capital Safety is offering an Industrial 275N model for both closed and open water environments, as well as an open water SOLAR model for use in shipping and offshore work.

The company says the ExoFit XP Flotation Harness includes stainless steel connection hardware to reduce the risks of corrosion near water, and has a lifting connection point for fast rescues.

If the worker falls unconscious after landing in water, the personal flotation device will automatically inflate within three seconds of being immersed in the water and turn the person onto their back to allow for breathing.

Other safety features include built-in RFID inspection technology, manual activation pull cord, safety whistle, reflective tape, oral inflation/deflation tube, and inspection history label.
