ENERPAC has released ZU4 Pro Torque wrench pumps for powering bolting applications.
Enerpac says the ZU4 wrench pumps are specially engineered for bolting, with a simplified valve design to reduce oil flow turbulence, and less moving parts to better withstand contamination and reduce wear and tear.
According to the Enerpac, the pumps incorporate Firmware 7.0 programming, which can directly display torque in foot-pounds or Newton metres. Users no longer have to convert the units from conventional pressure output readings.
The firmware upgrade can be retrofitted on already-installed pumps in the series.
Enerpac claims the new generation pumps are fitted with a 1.25kW universal motor for higher oil flow, and a greater bypass pressure of 85bar for cooler running.
Each pump has a pressure adjustment handle and pressure lock ring for quick adjustments of pressure setting. A half turn changes pressure by 1,000psi (70bar).
