This is said to provide users with published certified safety product data for calculating the safety level of their entire control safety system.
B10D Function Safety data is a measure of safety related product reliability and is a critical component in the calculation of performance levels required by the new EN/ISO 13849-1: 2008 Safety of Machinery – Safety related parts of control systems standard.
Rockwell Automation has published the data in a library that is integrated with the widely accessible SISTEMA database, allowing it to be easily incorporated in calculations without manual entry.
According to the company, while many companies self-certify for this safety rating, the Allen-Bradley e-stop buttons were rigorously tested with evaluation, verification and confirmation by third-party Tüv Rheinland, a service group documenting the safety and quality of products, systems and services.
