HONEYWELL has enhanced its Digital Video Manager R400 system, used by industrial facilities to monitor their processes.
The DVM system is a component of the Experion Process Knowledge System. It is a digital video sensor and surveillance solution which extends plant monitoring capabilities and integrates video stream and analytics with process control applications.
The upgraded system architecture is said to allow for improved remote monitoring, with centralised operators able to more-easily manage multiple video subsystems deployed across global facilities.
The technology also integrates with the company’s OneWireless mesh network, so plants can install cameras in any location without blowing out costs.
According to the developer, industrial facilities can use its system to observe hazardous or inaccessible areas from a distance and detect events beyond traditional sensor capabilities.
