INGERSOLL Rand, distributed by CAPS Australia, has released the X-Series System compressor controller.
The controller can manage up to 12 positive displacement compressors simultaneously, and can cope with units of different capacities, types and in any combination and configuration.
According to the distributor, energy used in compressed air systems is often wasted because users operate more compressors than necessary, use the wrong combination of units, or maintain an elevated system pressure.
The controller is said to manage the compressed air system at the minimum required pressure without compromising supply reliability. It will bring standby compressors on-line incrementally during peak periods of demand, helping increase efficiency and reduce costs.
The company claims the unit can also run compressors for equal lengths of time in order to ensure they can be maintained at the same time to reduce downtime.
