Champion Compressors has added two models to the V Series, its variable speed drive (VSD) line of compressors.
The CSE37V has a 37kW output, with working pressures from 7.5 to 13bar delivered at rates up to 103L/s. The larger CSE45V variant has a 45kW output, with working pressures from 7.5 to 13bar delivered at rates up to 123L/s.
The company said the V Series is suited to fluctuating-load industrial applications, and that the compressors operate most efficiently when the optimum tip speed envelope is about 30 per cent to 70 per cent load.
However, according to Champion, when the VSD compressor must run outside the optimum load range, the extended V Series is capable of running between 14 per cent and 100 per cent load for extended periods without risk of overheating.
In line with the rest of Champion’s compressor line-up, the V-Series is designed for the reliability and performance required for continuous operation in hot, humid, and dusty conditions.
