COMPRESSED Air and Power Systems Australia has released the Airman portable compressors which it claims emits little noise and has low fuel consumption.
CAPS Australia says the portable diesel compressors produce air in a fuel-efficient manner.
The Airman portable diesel compressors are also said to have larger fuel tanks, with capacities from 270L up to 700L for increased running times.
CAPS Australia claims the compressors have a noise level of 65dBA at seven metres when standing idle. They come in various forms, including box type, trailer mounted and large mobile units.
According to CAPS Australia, Mitchell Contractors Victoria has already put the Airman PDSE 900 trailer-mounted diesel compressor to the test, experiencing significant fuel savings during rock drilling operations.
The company says the low noise emissions were also a factor in helping make the work more comfortable for its workers.
