ROBUSCHI, distributed by CAPS Australia, has introduced the Biogas Blower range for conveying and compressing biogas, natural gas and landfill gas.
According to the distributor, the products will reduce dangerous emissions in power generation and costs associated with handling volatile gases from various processes. They have capacities between 240m³/h and 2850m³/h, and pressures up to 1000mbar.
Biogas is generally composed of 50 to 80% methane, with the remainder made up of mostly carbon dioxide.
If the gas is contaminated with water vapour and hydrogen sulphide, the gas can become aggressive and corrosive. The manufacturer claims its units can guarantee good corrosion resistance, keeping the gas free from oil pollution.
The unit features gas-tight sealing of the driving shaft with a double-lip oil sealing ring. It is tested to be explosion-proof and certified up to 12bar. A patented device supports the motor, reducing loads on the blower and motor bearings and ensuring automatic correct belt tensioning.
The range can also be equipped with a silencer with an anticorrosion coating and draining device which is pressure equipment directive certified for 1.3bar overpressure and 12bar explosion proof.
