PLMA says the Siemens PLM NX CAD/CAM software is now available with native support for Mac OS X on 64-bit Intel-based Macs.
According to the company, the new operating system support means customers using Apple’s computers will be able to leverage the capabilities of its CAD/CAM applications.
The developer says its technology is used to design and manufacture products globally. It has attributed the software’s popularity to its support of a wide range of operating environments, including Windows, UNIX, Linux, and now, Mac OS X.
The new version of the software includes the CAD and CAM functionality, as well as support for the Teamcenter platform through rich client capabilities embedded in NX and the thin client based on Apple’s Safari web browser.
