BOGE says its established range of oil free screw compressors now meets the API 619:2004 standard.
According to Boge, its SO series is a popular choice for sensitive applications where compressed air needs to be absolutely oil free. These include uses in the chemical and pharmaceutical, food and drinks and semiconductor industries.
The API-SO series incorporates the same design features of the standard SO series, but meets API 619:2004 standard. They are available in the standard pressure of 8 and 10 bar. Output capacities are from 5.25 to 51.4m³/min, and motor power from 45kW to 355kW.
A two-stage Boge airend is said to result very low specific power consumption. The shafts are sealed by a combination of special sealing rings and a two-stage labyrinth vented to atmosphere.
The control electronics, electrical components and motor are located in the coolest part of the compressors. A separate air fan is fitted as standard, and an optional cowl cooler can be mounted directly on the compressor.
The discharge air is cooled, eliminating the need for additional discharge ducting.
The API-SO series models are available either air- or water- cooled. There are 13 models and 31 variants available in the range.
