Bestech Australia’s Keller low cost pressure sensors for direct mounting

  • Published: 09/12/2009

BESTECH Australia says it is now distributing Keller’s range of low cost pressure sensors, designed to be directly mounted onto printed circuit boards.

The Keller pressure sensors are piezoresistive measuring cells consisting of a glass back plate and a silicon chip with diffused resistor bridge.

The measuring cell is mounted on a glass feed through and packaged in a housing for pressure connection. The output signal can be conditioned with standard amplifiers.

The series 2 units are for dry air applications, with the medium acting directly on the silicon chip, coming into contact with the strain gauges of the Wheatstone bridge.

The series 4 units is for wet or dry applications, such as gas, water, and non-aggressive fluids. The medium acts on the rear side of the silicon chip. They are suited for negative pressure measurements.

All of the Keller pressure sensors are tested for temperature, stability and linearity, and are delivered with an individual calibration sheet. They are typically used in pneumatic control instruments, robotics, sanitary and pharmaceutical gases and air conditioning.
