BESTECH Australia has brought Macrosensors’ SQ1250 series of heavy duty LVDT position sensors to the Australian market.
According to Bestech Australia, the contactless LVDT sensors are designed to measure position or motion in mill-type hostile environments, being able to withstand high shock and vibration levels.
The SQ1250 LVDT position sensors are available in ranges from ±0.50in to ±10.00in. Their electrical assemblies are totally encapsulated within heavy duty aluminium housings, with electrical connections made to screw-terminal style barrier strips.
Bestech Australia says the Macrosensors SQ1250 LVDT position sensors meet the IEC IP-64 sealing standard against the intrusion of splashed water and other liquids.
The position sensors are also electrically and magnetically double shielded to improve noise immunity and reduce susceptibility to external AC magnetic fields.
SQ1250 LVDT position sensors can operate in temperatures of up to 150°C, and are said to have high resolution, good repeatability and low hysteresis.
