DUPONT says its Vespel CR-6100 backup rings are suited for a wide range of high pressure pumps used in hydrocarbon processing and refining.
The rings are said to outperform those made from alternative materials such as polyetherketone.
The company claims the products have high temperature resistance and nearly universal chemical resistance. They are suited for all harsh oil and gas environments.
