AUSSIE Pumps has released a new version of its Mr. T twin impeller self-priming fire pump, driven by a close coupled Yanmar 10HP diesel engine.
The new Mr. T fire pump is available with both 2” or 3” ports depending on the flow and pressure required.
According to Aussie Pumps, Mr. T was developed around the Aussie Fire Chief lightweight high pressure fire pump, but has a computer-generated design to allow more water to go through the unit hat high pressure for gains in fuel economy.
Aussie Pumps says the big version can produce a maximum of up to 450L per minute flow with heads as high as 90m. It can take water from dams, streams or wells, with a 7.6m direct vertical lift capacity.
Using a 2” outlet instead of a 3-way fire head is said to reduce friction loss, increasing flow and head. The 3” version allows for high pressure transfer.
