ATLAS Copco has released the 2010 generation of LP 18 power packs, with a new design for easy access to hydraulic parts and the air and oil filters.
According to Atlas Copco, the LP 18 power packs are compact and portable. The petrol or diesel driven versions have power ranging from 9 to 18HP, while the electric power packs range between 5 and 11kW.
New units include the petrol driven LP 18-30 PE and LP 18-40 PE, which are suited for applications in the 20 to 40lpm range. Two new electric driven power packs are the LP 18-30 E and LP 18-40 E for indoor applications.
Atlas Copco claims all moving parts of the power pack work in a closed, lubricated circuit for reduced wear. The hydraulic system and engine are cooled via a large front mounted cooler and air fan.
The power packs have an electric and recoil start system and feature a thermostatically-controlled oil cooler, allowing quick warm-ups which helps protect the hydraulic oil from overheating.
