IFM efector has released the modular AS-interface with flexible connection technology to ensure the unit can easily be integrated into existing control systems.
A two-wire cable transmits data and energy, removing the need for complex parallel wiring.
Within the food industry, sensors are exposed to extreme conditions, including acids, alkalis, cleaning agents, foam guns, temperature shocks, high-pressure cleaners and high air humidity.
This, according to the company, places extreme pressure on wiring technology.
The company’s stainless steel insulation displacement connector is ECOLAB certified FC with protection rating to IP 68 / IP 69 K.
Flat cable splitter boxes made of stainless steel pick up the AS-i voltage and the external 24 V supply from the AS-i flat cable, while the product’s TAA temperature sensor includes high mechanical stability and protection rating IP 69 K.
The product includes PCB, which makes valve tops AS-i compatible.
The product also includes a special range of pressure sensors for monitoring hygienic areas.
