ROCKWELL Automation will be releasing the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 753 AC drive in March, which is optimised for general purpose induction motor control applications.
According to Rockwell Automation, the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 753 AC drive has enhanced safety features, DeviceLogix embedded control technology and predictive diagnostics. It is available in power ranges from 0.75 to 250kW at 415V AC and 650V DC input.
The predictive diagnostics capabilities monitors drive status, such as cooling fans, I/O relay cycles, motor run-time hours, and fault warnings, allowing preventative action to be taken.
The PowerFlex 753 AC drive is said to be ideal for fan, pump and conveyor applications. It has a three-slot mechanical architecture which allows users to tailor the drive with I/O, feedback, safety, communications and auxiliary control power as required by applications.
Users can incorporate PLC-style functionality within the PowerFlex 753, allowing standalone control if required.
This product will be available from March 2010.
