BONFIGLIOLI has released a series of HD Alignment-Free Drives which integrate motor and gearbox.
According to the company, the new drives provide an alternative to laser-aligned baseplate types that allow the use of close coupled IEC B5 flange mounted motors up to G315 frame size.
The alignment-free product is available with capacities up to 1722 kW and 150,000Nm, so as to complement the manufacturer’s Hi Torque drives.
The manufacturer claims by eliminating the need to laser align the motor and gearbox shafts, the HD AFD models can save time and money. High speed components can be removed and replaced without the need for re-alignment.
Applications for the locally-produced units include conveyor drives, shuttle drives, bucket elevators, inching drives and other materials handling equipment.
