WARTSILA Australia says it provides specialists repairs and maintenance for diesel fuel injection engines and turbochargers used in industrial and mining applications.
Wartsila Australia says it has a comprehensively equipped workshop manned by highly trained technicians who undertake mission critical and timely repairs of diesel engines and components.
According to the company, diesel maintenance is becoming more complex, with more electronic components being used to control the operation of an engine. Microprocessors now regulate and manage fuel injection and engine timing.
Additionally, new emissions standards often require engines tuning, upgrade or retrofit with emissions control systems. Wartsila Australia claims it has a background in designing and building diesel engines, and can service any type of diesel fuel injection and turbocharger equipment.
Wartsila says a diesel engine should have an oil change every 5,000kms and an oil filter every 10,000kms. Major service items like diesel injectors and fuel pumps typically require servicing every 100,000kms and other maintenance items like transmission oil and air filters are independent of engine type and have the same service interval.
