Visy Packaging Division has chosen Prophit Software, developer of supply chain management software for manufacturers, to support its supply chain improvement initiatives across its packaging business units.
Developed by StrategicAllicance Consulting Services, Prophit Software is a suite developed to support manufacturing companies as they execute their operational and supply chain strategies in order to maximise profitability.
“The Visy decision was supported by the experience with the Prophit Software at our Visy PET Beverage business,” said Visy’s John Link. “We achieved a reduction of 30 per cent in raw material working capital and an annual reduction of transport costs in excess of $700,000 as a result of implementing Prophit Software during 2008.”
Prophit Software is designed to be fully configurable to support manufacturing business processes, said Tim Gray, managing director of Prophit Software, in a statement. “This means it is fast to implement, accelerating the return on investment.”
