Ultrafine grained titanium under development

MONASH University researchers have received funds under the Linkage projects program to develop ultrafine grained titanium.

According to the researchers, the ultrafine grained titanium will find primary use in the medical implant industry.

The researchers are undertaking the development in collaboration with Carpenter Technology, Cochlear, and Manhattan Scientifics.

The novel will lead to a broader usage of titanium by biomedical industry and promote the development of the titanium manufacturing industry in Australia.
