FLUID Components has released the ST50 remote mount flow metre for use in hazardous areas and plant HVAC systems.
The metre has an intelligent, no-moving parts, thermal mass flow sensor design, and measures air flow from 0.3 to 38 NMPS, nitrogen from 0.3 to 46 NMPS, and compressed air from 1.2 to 122 NMPS.
Accuracy is +1% of reading, +0.5% of full scale, with repeatability of +0.5% of reading.
The metre operates at temperatures from 4 to 38°C.
The transmitter includes a digital display and can be mounted 15 m away from the sensor.
The transmitter may be specified with either an 18 to 36 V DC or an 85 to 265 V AC input power supply, and is housed in an all-aluminium, epoxy-coated enclosure that is NEMA 4X (IP66) rated.
The unit comes with built-in wireless IR communication via a standard Palm OS PDA.
