MAXITEC says a metal punch/press client has integrated its machinery into its processes, slashing nine hours of fabrication down to 20 minutes.
According to the company, rising steel prices and shortened delivery schedules are putting pressure on the fabrication industry. To cope, these companies replace manual processes with machines.
The client stamps parts from various metals, including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper.
Following advice from the machinery provider, the manufacturer installed a Finn-Power E5 Compact Express which turns out a stainless-steel washer, stripping it through a guillotine, punching a central hole, and blanking the outside.
By integrating the processes, the firm quickened its turnaround time, and also eliminated the dangers of manual processing small components.
According to the distributor, the turret punch/press unit is arguable the only unit of its sort which can be operated in a corner. It is a 300kN fast, fully adjustable turret punch press series for sheet metal fabrication.
