SIEMENS has acquired Eden Technology, enhancing its Asset Management and PLM offerings.
Eden Technology will be integrated into the Siemens IT Solutions and Services business, which provides solutions to support the integration of asset performance management, configuration management and integrated logistics support to lower operational costs while improving asset performance.
According to Siemens, there is a constant drive to improve asset performance, increase productivity, reduce loss and improve the efficiency of deployed assets.
For this to happen, configuration and product data accuracy is key, and this is achieved through total visibility of critical business information, such as operating procedures, training and technical materials, and maintenance procedures.
The products from SIS are said to allow accurate data sharing and timely information flow. The Eden Technology capabilities will also enhance the ability to design, build, maintain, repair and overhaul an organisation’s assets to further drive efficiencies.
