WATER facility inspection company Sanrig has acquired a compact remote operated inspection vehicle from Seavision Technologies.

Sanrig caters to water storage and handling facilities, providing inspections of pipes, pump inlets, access ladders and other underwater fittings.

According to Sanrig, its new Seavision Technologies ROV can view and record images of corrosion accumulation, sludge or foreign matter that affects submerged outlets of pumping equipment.

Sanrig claims the AC-ROV is easy to operate, and allows the company to safely identify, plan and implement necessary work.

Clients do not have to isolate pumps or shut down their equipment and work processes for the inspections and divers are also protected from the hazards of diving into dangerous environments.
