Oxygen and pH measurement loops

METTLER Toledo has released ISM (Intelligent Sensor Management) technology that allows users of process analytical equipment to reduce the maintenance costs of loops.

Sensors equipped with ISM are continuously monitored for defects and wear, allowing users to anticipate failure before it happens.

Sensor replacement of ISM sensors pre-calibrated with a lab calibration tool takes place in seconds.

The unit delivers online pH and DO sensor status data to the transmitter, making the measurement loop more reliable.

Predictive maintenance is easy with an adaptive calibration timer that calculates the time to the next calibration based on sensor load and the real-time wear of the sensor.

It enables electronic documentation of the sensor operation, thereby reducing errors.

The sensors are digital, with integrated electronics for signal conditioning in the sensor head.

The digital, low-impedance signal transmission secures a trouble-free, humidity-insensitive communication.

ISM can be seamlessly integrated into a process control system with Profibus and Foundation Fieldbus digital communication.
