OVERALL Forge will use $550,000 in Re-tooling for Climate Change grant money to recycle waste heat from its furnace exhaust.
The forging company will use the grant too retrofit furnaces with recuperative burner systems.
This will allow waste heat to be recycled and used to pre-heat air for the forging process.
According to Overall Forge, it will result in a 26% reduction in the consumption of natural gas, and lower carbon emissions by 2,260t per annum.
