Off-line programmable robot

ABB has released the IRB 1600 ID arc welding robot with integrated processing cable.

The unit’s integrated processing cable allows operators to benefit from off-line programming.

The robot is designed to allow the arc to weld in areas that are difficult to reach, offering complete control over the operation.

Off-line programming allows operators to program the unit with the position of equipment and parts and continue production during programming.

The new model also includes cable housing that prevents sharp parts damaging cable, which can cause expensive disruptions to continuous operation.

The robot is available without the welding part, so that customers can use process equipment suited to their particular operation.
