PLANIT will demonstrate the latest version of Radan CAD/CAM software for sheetmetal applications on Stand 5217 during National Manufacturing Week.

Radan 08 incorporates design, nesting, punching, profiling, folding, drawing management, cost estimating, and document distribution products.

The software is Windows Vista-compatible and includes support for the latest 3D CAD file translators, resulting in added functionality such as material thickness auto-detect and joggle support for RadbendCNC.

The product also includes support for AutoCAD 2008 dwg files, with colour mapping and filtering during import and better geometry and smart shapes functions.

The product features automatic recording of off-cuts for later use, evaluation of stored remnants, and selection of the best one to use.

The software allows users to improve order mode performance for increased efficiency when producing NC programs for punching and profiling machines, and improves support for shearing machines and pierce variants for profiling machines.

Radan is the principal brand of the Planit Group.
