ABB Australia has released the second generation FlexPicker pick and place robot, with 20% cycle time improvement.

The IRB 360 robot includes increased speed, higher payload, and a smaller footprint.

The robot’s design features 50% higher payload capacity and ability to accommodate a range of grippers for handling diverse products.

The robot succeeds the company’s FlexPicker IRB340 system and has a wide range of movement over a fourth axis.

The unit’s theta axis is made with a stainless robust variant suitable for the food industry.

The robot includes PickMaster software that enables modelling for varied applications and assists with the optimisation of multiple robot installations.

The robot’s IRC5 controller is now available in a compact panel-mounted version that offers easy integration into machines and production lines.
