Mobile maintenance software

MEX has released mobile maintenance software for service work, inspections, or breakdown maintenance, allowing for maintenance and service centres to automatically update MEX.

The system uses the Windows Mobile platform and is written using .Net technology.

The technology allows users to synchronize via GPS, HSDPA, wireless, or cradle technology, and create invoices for customers and remain up to date with MEX work orders in the field.

The unit allows remote communication so that personnel can be out in the field rather than in the office.

The handheld unit was designed for maximum flexibility and ease of use, and allows users to view work history and access work orders for any asset, view all work orders, and add or edit catalogue items in the field.

The unit can also manage parts and labour, perform stock takes, complete inspection work orders, capture signatures, and add readings.
