Kelair Sandpiper used to pump abrasive spirit-based paint

The Sandpiper air-operated diaphragm pumps have a guaranteed non-stall feature and an externally-serviceable air distribution system.

KELAIR says when a customer required air-operated diaphragm pumps to pump abrasive spirit-based paint, the Sandpiper did the job.

The client needed the pump for a new spray booth at its Launceston-based foundry.

When Kelair was called in, they were trialling a 1” diaphragm pump in stainless steel/Teflon construction.

Kelair engineers went on site to view the spray booth, and found issues with the pump stalling, a problem due to the accessibility of the unit. After mentioning the advantages of a Sandpiper pump, the client placed an order.

The Sandpiper air-operated diaphragm pumps have a guaranteed non-stall feature and an externally-serviceable air distribution system.

According to Kelair, its Sandpiper pumps are fitted with pilot spools which incorporate “cross-drilled technology”. This feature is used in the ESADS+Plus air distribution system, and is said to ensure reliable performance and guaranteed start/stop performance.
