Kelair Sandpiper S05 nonmetallic pump solves high pressure leakage problem

KELAIR says it has solved a pump leakage problem by replacing the problematic pump with its Sandpiper S05 nonmetallic pump.

According to Kelair, the customer was using a competitors’ brand 1/2" non-metallic diaphragm pump for a high pressure spraying application.

However, the pump only had four bolts connecting the top manifold to the main body. As a result of the pressure, the pump would leak at this interface.

The customer trialled a Sandpiper S05 nonmetallic pump with eight bolts connecting the top manifold to the bottom manifold. The pump exhibited no leakage even when it was dead-headed at 6.5bar air pressure.

Kelair says the customer also liked the robust build of the pump, with thicker housing, manifolds and threaded connections.

Sandpiper pumps from Kelair are lubrication-free, backed by a non-stalling guarantee, utilise cross-drilled technology to eliminate stalling, and can be repaired without being removed from the pipeline.
