SOLIDWORKS says Jaws Buckets and Attachments has improved its parts design productivity by switching to its 3D CAD/CAM software.

In 2003, Intercad supplied and implemented SolidWorks’ 3D solution at the attachment manufacturer’s facility, replacing the previous 2D software.

According to Jaws Buckets and Attachments, the CAD/CAM software allowed it to provide its customers with more detailed designs and product simulations using advanced 3D modelling functionality.

The manufacturer is also using SolidWorks’ built-in Finite Element Analysis features for real-time stress and construction analysis. Designers can test the performance of different materials without having to first build expensive physical prototypes.

Jaws Buckets and Attachments claims the use of the software resulted in 30 to 40% gain in productivity, as it made it easier to present complex design to its support and engineering teams.
